Benefits of Vaccines by the Numbers: Data Simplified
A renewed debate has emerged on the safety of vaccines and their overall benefit to society. Several articles have surfaced this week in CNN, USA Today, NPR, the Huffington Post, and Washington Post, to name a few, that have all argued in favor of vaccinating children. Those arguing against these claims fear that vaccines cause harm to young children or that they increase risk of developing autism.
Buried in much of the debate are a list of statistics that identify the reasoning behind the arguments in support of vaccines. To simply and highlight what the research is showing, here are some of the top statistics being stated.
What’s your opinion on the vaccine debate? Do these numbers prove vaccines are non-negotiable, or do the numbers lie?

Excellent blog with very useful information!

The paper was (finally) retracted in 2010, though published in 1998. This alone should be enough to cause people to rethink their stance against vaccines. Sadly, for their kids mostly, it is not. Social Darwinism in action.
